Milan Card - Elephant 2509

I was worried the silk-wool blend would be too delicate, but it handled nicely on my 18-count canvas without fraying. The subtle sheen from the silk really makes the elephant’s gray pop against the matte wool.

Worked up a small elephant motif on 18 mesh and the non-strandable twist held its shape beautifully through every stitch. Ten yards gave me just enough for the project, and the silk-wool hand feels lovely against the needle.

The blend of silk and wool gives it a nice, soft hand that’s easy to work with on 18 mesh, and the 10-yard length is just right for a small project. The elephant pattern is subtle enough that it doesn’t overpower the fabric.
