Milan Card - Epee 2848

I was a little nervous about the color matching, but the soft silk-wool blend looks even richer in person on my 18 mesh canvas. I’ve already stitched a small motif and it glides through the holes without fraying, which is a relief.

Working with this blend of silk and wool on 18 mesh was a pleasure—the thread glides through without catching. The color is rich and true to the description, though I did account for slight dye lot variation. My only tiny wish is for a few more yards on the spool.

The wool-silk blend has just the right amount of sheen without being slippery, and it glides smoothly through 18-count fabric. I appreciate that it's non-strandable, too—no frustrating tangles while stitching.
