Stitched a section on 18-mesh canvas and the coverage is just right with this 10-yard thread—the subtle sheen from the silk really makes the pattern pop.

The silk-wool blend moves through the canvas with just the right drag, and the non-strandable twist means no frustrating splitting even on 18 mesh. Ten yards is a decent amount for a small project, and the sheen is subtle enough for lettering but still catches the light nicely.

The 50/50 silk-wool blend has such a lovely, subtle sheen that really makes the Gazelle 2769 pop on 18-mesh canvas. Stitches lay flat without any twisting, which is a huge relief for detailed areas. This is exactly the shade of soft taupe I needed for a pet portrait.
